BECKER COUNTY, MINN. (KFGO) - A close call for a helicopter pilot on the north side of Pelican Lake, along the Becker-Otter Tail County line.
Audubon Fire Chief Chris Wiedenmyer says the chopper was spraying potato fields about 10:45 a.m. Tuesday when it clipped a power line. The line fell and started a grass fire about an acre wide.
Firefighters were able to get the fire out quickly. The downed line also caused some power outages. The pilot was not hurt and continued on his flight, calling in the accident.
