Grand Forks, N.D. (KFGO) - A Grand Forks motorcyclist was taken to the hospital after he struck a bicycle late yesterday afternoon.
The Grand Forks Police Departments says the motorcycle was westbound on University Avenue when a bicyclist rode in front of him at the Washington Street intersection. The bicyclist was hit and the motorcyclist lost control and crashed.
The department reports the bicyclist appears to have disregarded a red traffic signal as the motorcycle had a green light.
The motorcycle driver, 37-year-old Sam Gereszek, was transported to Altru Hospital with unknown injuries. The bicyclist, 20-year-old Isaac Tousigant of East Grand Forks, was not injured.
The crash is still being investigated; no citations have been issued at this time.
