FARGO (KFGO) - An airline that's served Fargo in the past is returning. Denver-based Frontier Airlines is expanding to 21 cities, adding 85 routes.
Hector International Airport Exec. Director Shawn Dobberstein says it didn't come as a complete surprise since Frontier vowed that it would return to Fargo someday after it left the market in Apr. 2015.
He says the airline plans to offer service to Denver, but the start date and number of flights hasn't been announced. He's hoping Frontier's decision will lead to more competitive fares from other airlines serving Fargo.
United already offers flights between Fargo and Denver.
