WASHINGTON, DC (KFGO) - The nomination from President Trump of US District Judge Ralph Erickson of Fargo to become an appeals court judge will be considered by a senate committee next week.
The Senate Committee on the Judiciary has scheduled a hearing Tues. where the nomination of Erickson to the 8th Circuit Court of Appeals will be considered. The appointments of three other judges are also on the agenda.
Erickson was nominated by President George W. Bush as a federal judge in 2003. Before that, he was a magistrate judge and Cass County District Court Judge.
The circuit court covers several states and hears cases in St. Paul and St. Louis.
