FARGO (KFGO) - A man who says he's trying to organize a "pro-white activist rally" in Fargo says he expects up to 300 people to participate.
Pete Tefft drew international attention after he was identified on social media as one of the pro-white protesters at the Charlottesville, Virginia demonstration that turned violent.
In an interview on KFGO’S "News and Views", Tefft said he's not concerned about violence breaking out at the Fargo rally.
“I’m certain there won’t be a riot” Tefft said. But Tefft added “We will bring defensive weaponry…shields and helmets. We bring them everywhere.”
Tefft says he's spoken to members of the Fargo City Commission about his plans, but has not yet applied for a permit. He says he would like to hold the rally in October near the Fargo Public Library and Civic Memorial Auditorium.
