Grand Forks, N.D. (KFGO) - A Grand Forks man was arrested after store employees followed him after he attempted to rob their store.
The Grand Forks Police Department says around 3:45 p.m. Thursday, a man walked into the Cenex convenience store on Gateway Drive and demanded money. The clerk refused and the man fled. He was followed by employees until police were able to arrest him.
Twenty-two-year-old Robert Smith, Jr. was arrested for attempted robbery.
The police department says it appeared Smith was holding a weapon at the time of the attempted robbery but they could not verify possession of a weapon.
No one was injured.
