BISMARCK (KFGO) - The board that licenses teachers in North Dakota has suspended the teaching certificate of a former West Fargo high school teacher for five years.

Elizabeth Doster could apply for reinstatement if she were to meet several conditions. Doster would have to provide a letter of support from a counselor, complete an ethics course and show evidence of sobriety.

Doster resigned in late Aug. after evidence surfaced that she had allowed students to drink at her Fargo home. The Cass County State's Attorneys Office decided not to file charges saying it would a difficult case to prosecute.

Doster was teaching at Sheyenne High School when she resigned.
