LISBON, N.D. (KFGO) - A suspect has been arrested in a a fatal hit and run crash near Lisbon, North Dakota.
The driver is identified as 30-year old Paul Vincent of Gwinner.
The state patrol says a woman was walking along Highway 32 north of Gwinner when she was struck from behind by a pickup drivEN by Vincent. It's believed the crash happened between 5:30 a.m. and 6:00 a.m. Friday. The 44-year old victim's name has not been released. A passerby reported the accident around 9 a.m. Friday.
Vincent fled the scene but was arrested later in Cooperstown. He had hid the truck following the crash.
Patrol Captain Bryan Niewind says cooperation with several law enforcement agencies and witnesses led them to Vincent.
He's charged with leaving the scene of a fatal crash and is being held in the Barnes County Jail.
