ST. PAUL, Minn. (AP) - St. Paul police are investigating how a first-grade student brought a gun into an elementary school which was shot into a classroom floor.
Authorities say no one was hurt when the gun discharged at Crossroads Elementary School Thursday morning. Police want to know how the 7-year-old had access to the gun and what caused it to discharge.
St. Paul Public Schools issued a statement which says there were no threats directed at any staff or students. The gun was immediately confiscated.
