FARGO (KFGO) -- Things went horribly awry when a man spotted his stolen vehicle in downtown Fargo Sunday night and confronted the man driving it. The two began to fight as the Jeep continued down Roberts St. The driverless vehicle then struck two other vehicles before coming to a stop. A passenger in the stolen vehicle was struck while trying to get out.
Lt. Joel Vettel says it's always best to call police when you see a crime being committed. There's no vehicle that's worth anybody's life. In this particular case there's some very serious injuries as a result of this whole incident and ones that could result in somebody dying and that's something we don't want to see" Vettel said.
The three men hospitalized are all from Fargo; 29-year-old Jeremiah Two Bear, 47-year-old Ethan King and 53-year-old Ronald Seewalker. The stolen vehicle belongs to King.
Vettel says it appears alcohol was a factor. No arrests have been made, but charges are expected.
