FARGO (KFGO-AM) - Delta Airlines is working to fix a computer outage that has shut down operations worldwide for the number two U.S. carrier. Passengers at Fargo's Hector International Airport were lined up at the ticket counters Monday morning, getting the bad news as Delta jets sat silent on the tarmac outside.
Manbir Bajwa, who works in Fargo, was unaware of the problem until he arrived at the airport ready to fly to Denver.
Despite the delay, he was not flustered. He says Delta was "helping alot..they put us on United and we're going to get there...a little later..but we'll get there." Bajwa says he travels frequently and is used to delays like this.
Computer glitches disrupting airline passengers aren't unusual, though they can create flight delays long after technical issues are resolved.
